Governor of Nigeria's Gombe State Gives Award to OMNIA
August 11, 2022
In the first quarter of 2022, Gombe State was declared the second safest state in Nigeria by Statisense, a data tech company used by the Nigerian government. This finding was also confirmed by Eons Intelligence and the Conference on State Directors of Security. The following year, Gombe was named the state with the least number of kidnappings in the country.
At a peace and security summit—which included security experts and intellectuals from acclaimed security outfits in Nigeria and beyond -- the Governor of Gombe State, Alhaj Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, acknowledged the invaluable role that the Interfaith Peacemaker Teams played in mitigating extremist violence, and gave OMNIA an award. OMNIA’s Reverend Abare Kallah was a lead presenter at the summit where he shared OMNIA’s mission and vision and their seamless application to providing a formidable strategy for long-lasting peace and security within the state.
