Collective Action: Buliisa Uganda IP Teams Open New Office

Oyergiu Joshua, our National Coordinator in Uganda, works at the brand-new Interfaith Peacemaker (IP) Team office building in Buliisa.

The IP Teams in Buliisa came up with the idea to have a central office location for themselves. They raised the money for the building materials, gave of their time and effort to work collaboratively to build it themselves. They did it in less than a year. The building has space for offices, rooms for meetings and trainings and a library. They also anticipate that community members and organizations will use the building for meetings and events.

 Currently, there are 54 IP Teams in Buliisa. Also in Uganda, Nwoya district has 11 IP Teams, coordinated by Shilla Adyero.
